Farbod Nia is a Partner at Proprium Capital Partners, where he leads new investments in Europe and oversees the management of existing investments.

He has extensive experience in real estate investing across a variety of global financial institutions, having held positions at Citigroup, Dresdner Kleinwort, and Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Proprium, Farbod spent ten years at Goldman Sachs in London where he was a Managing Director, responsible for investing in European real estate equity and credit opportunities.

During his career, Farbod has evaluated and executed transactions across most real estate sectors and all risk profiles — from core and core-plus assets to value-add, opportunistic (including development), and distressed opportunities — spanning all major European markets. His investment experience encompasses both direct asset acquisitions as well as platform investments. Notably, he led the establishment and growth of Goldman Sachs’ Southern European logistics development platform.

Farbod holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Manchester.
